Which Raw Material, Which Machine, Which Operator Made This?

When a complaint arrives or a raw material batch turns out faulty, the question is always the same: which products did that material go into? Reconstructing the answer from paper records takes days and usually ends up incomplete.

We install traceability systems that record every step from goods-in to dispatch using barcode, QR or RFID. Forward and backward tracing run as a single query, and recall scope narrows from all product to only the affected batches.

The tracking level (batch, pallet, unit) and which process steps are recorded are agreed.

Coding Standard & Hardware

Label format and coding standard are set, and readers, printers and marking equipment selected.

Field Installation & Software

Readers are installed at stations and the tracing software integrated with ERP and MES.

Testing, Drill & Go-Live

Forward and backward tracing is tested on sample batches, a recall drill is performed, and the system goes live.

The Cost of a Recall Is Set by Its Scope

A company without traceability cannot isolate the one bad batch and so must recall everything. Batch-level tracing can cut recall scope in the same crisis to a fraction of a percent — which is usually where the system pays for itself.
